Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one go without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads using the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For example, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time and the mop is able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles.  auto vacuum  goes one step further and includes a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.

The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and crumbs. It also has a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which lets it get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a great option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available, but it packs in a lot of additional features that set it apart.  auto vacuum cleaner  come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa.  best budget robot vacuum  is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.

There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or there are buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has a number of functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this list but it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
